Stimulus Payments Ongoing

While the economic stimulus payments for most taxpayers that elected to have their federal refunds direct deposited have been sent, the process continues for taxpayers expecting a paper check, as well as taxpayers who have filed/will file on extension.  For the latest IRS schedule, view www.irs.gov/irs/article/0,,id=180250,00.html.  At the bottom of the page, there is a hotline for taxpayers with questions.

Also, be aware that any unsolicited e-mail or phone call coming from someone claiming to be from the IRS is a scam.  The IRS WILL NOT contact taxpayers via e-mail or telephone in an unsolicited manner.  To read more about this, view www.irs.gov/newsroom/article/0,,id=178061,00.html.
